Thomas
Burky currently works as a Technical Advisor for BAE Services and resides
with his wife, Fiona, in North Carolina. He
has been a born-again Christian for 35 years, and has been friends
with Eric and Mary for over 30 years.
Tom received his B.S. in Chemistry (Hons) from Norfolk State University
and
then attended graduate school in Engineering at the New Mexico Institute
of
Mining and Technology. Tom has over 25 years of experience in
project management, business development, contract negotiation and
product
life cycle management, with 17 of these years at a non-profit
corporation. Tom's background and hands-on experience will be utilized
during the
ongoing refit of the vessel "Far Horizons" to prepare her for the
field. Tom and Fiona have been married for over 30 years.

- Eric and Mary have been married for over 39 years.
Fiona Burky - Board Member (IMS)
- Assistant facilitator for ministry home office (stateside)
Fiona Burky, who is a retired Licensed
Clinical Counselor, has been close friends with Mary and Eric for
over 35 years. She has been a born-again Christian for 40 years. She
was with YWAM (Youth With a Mission) for 1 1/2 years, and went
through their Discipleship Training School (DTS) in Tyler, Texas, and
then their School of Evangelism (SOE) in Denver, Colorado. It was
during this time that she felt led by the Lord to become a Christian
Counselor. In order to obtain her degree in counseling, Fiona
returned to her home State of Ohio, where she finished her B.A. in
Business Management (Malone College, Canton, Ohio), before she went
on to receive her Master's Degree in Counseling from Regent
University, Virginia Beach, Virginia, May 1992. Fiona had her own
private practice for several years until her health problems
necessitated her need for early retirement. Fiona continues to
contribute to the lives of believers by way of her two blogs:
"Growing as a Disciple of Christ" and "Gleanings from Gurnall: The Christian in Complete Amour". Fiona is a strong
prayer partner with IMS.
