Progress Update: August 30th

(Eric making patterns for the overhead)

The overhead in the forward guest bathroom has been built, fitted and is now being primed and painted. The A/C ducting has been installed in the overhead as well and will cool the head and workshop. Eric had to build special ducting for the run leading to the workshop because the run area was very narrow.
DJ is working on wiring the new sump and bilge pump system for the lower staterooms.
The head seats and covers ended up with three coats of paint and the final coat was brought inside to cure. Bugs and dirt kept marring the finish. Due to the very strong fumes we put them in the workshop overnight with fans for ventilation.

Heavy duty finish. These, of course, are specially sized and rather pricey to replace so worth refinishing!

Progress Update: August 24th

(Eric working on plumbing access)

The permanent workshop ports are now completed and installed. The caulking has to set a couple days before it can be cleaned up on the other side of the glass. We will reach these areas using the skiff.
The guest head is next and work has begun on the overhead A/C ducting that  will lead to the workshop. Plumbing access hatches have been cut into the floor boards in the hallway between the main staterooms. One of the side by side utility closets in the hallway has been partially painted and prepped for the new location for the water heater. A shelf will be added above it to hold the A/C unit.
DJ is currently running wiring needed for the new bilge pumps about to be installed under the hallway floor.

Progress Update: August 16th

(Eric grinding workshop port)

The last few weeks have seen finishing touches in the forward guest cabin, plumbing progress, the continuing prep and fabrication of new ports for the workshop (bow area) as well as unforeseen A/C and washer repairs.
