Progress Update: April 10th

(Eric removing water tank baffle)

  • Back in the water tank! Eric resumed grinding in the water tank and has made excellent progress. There is one section of floor left to be ground and epoxied. We have ordered more aluminum powder to mix with the epoxy and it should arrive next week. Sanding the epoxy will be next and then tank sealant. Mary has been reorganizing in the engine room while being a stand-by helper for when Eric is in the water tank.
  • While waiting to resume work in the water tank, Eric has been accomplishing some small projects. The sink in the guest head has been fully plumbed and the mahogany has a first coat of varnish.
A few sections on the upper deck needed some screws tightened and bungs installed. The marble top for the aft workbench is in the process of being re-installed. Eric had to make a cleat for one of the smaller pieces. This will be dry enough to work with tomorrow.

Adjustments have also been made to the electrical panel in the lower helm,  enabling it to close properly.

  1. Wow that's some real pitting on that aluminum. Good thing you're repairing that now. Great work.
